Bulls Head at Upholland
Do any of you historic aficionados out there know where the Bull's Head is or was in Upholland? It is associated with the infamous local 'highwayman' George Lyon and was later the home of comedian Ted Ray. I really need the exact location for a potential future documentary.

School Lane. I'm not too sure, but Brooklands Road may have been built on it's site.

Thanks Tonker, I'll go up there and have a look. I believe it was on a slight right bend on the right of the School Lane if approaching from Orrell.

I was right about Brooklands Road.
That new stone house is called - "Bull's Head Cottage"!

Just located it on the 1914 OS map. George Lyons body was taken there after he was hanged at Lancaster. I expect he was kept there overnight until his nearby burial in the churchyard.
