Whupsy and Islamophobia

Started by: Tommy Two Stroke (15393)

Whupsy

Now yoo know I never disagree with you, but I think that to call the present Conservative Party Islamophobic, is bit silly, and yoo don't want to be a silly billy, doo yoo whupsy

In this country the top three Government positions are

1. Prime Minister (boss)

2. Chancellor of the Exchequer

3. The Home Secretary

Now we know who is Prime Minister, yon Boris is, but the Number two in the country is a Sajid Javid the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and he is a Muslim

Sajid Javid

The number three in the country is Priti Patel, the Home Secretary, and she is not a Muslim, but she is a Hindoo

Priti Patel

So I would say that the present Conservative Party and Conservative Government are not Islamophobic

Surely not .

Spot on whups.

They brush it under the carpet with much help from the tory dominated press who demonise J C at every opportunity.

My pal from M C is up in Newcastle for the game later today.
He was at the rally last evening in the city with J C as main speaker .
A full house gave him a rousing reception ,cheering him to the rafters .Not bad on a cool tyneside evening.

When did the terrorism stop in NI? You don't really believe the IRA and the other paramilitary groups just went away do you. It never went away and Brexit has nothing to do with it, the rioting still goes on now mostly at weekends and the new IRA are still planting bombs in Derry only a couple of weeks ago.

The dissident groups as they are now known, will try to take advantage of Brexit, in order to further their cause by causing trouble.

On about the Good Friday agreement, you should read what Norman Tebbit thinks about it.

Terry W,
I lived and worked in Belfast for a couple of years in the 90’s and saw first hand, on an almost daily basis, the hatred that existed between the two factions at that time. The Good Friday agreement did alleviate the situation I believe. I toured Ireland, North and South, a couple of years ago and found the situation had eased amongst the younger element but old habits die hard and the troubles were still simmering amongst the older generation. Most families were touched by the problems and no way will they start “ having a pint” with each other. It will take generations to forget. I also lived and worked in Dublin for two years in 2001 and 2002 and never heard calls for a united Ireland in that time. They couldn't afford To take the North under their jurisdiction.

Broady. I do agree that some of the tensions on the streets were alleviated but the suggestion that all was well after the Good Friday Farce is nonsense, the IRA and the rest did not lay down their arms and vanish they are as united in their aim today as they were since the troubles began.

Not since Brexit though, what about the skinheads of the 60's and 70' who's sport was P**i bashing and the burning of black peoples homes? He'll probably say they were Tory Skins. I would also suggest that it is foreigners who are doing assaults on other foreigners and British people. I must be missing something because I see no racism. Very easy to shout racism if their views differ from yours. I was in Tenerife for a month last September and again this March and visited lots of the bars frequented by footballc and rugby fans and lots openly stated, rightly or wrongly, that they voted to leave because of the fear of being swamped by immigrants.

The country would just not function if immigration ended .
Its not a case of differing views.

You resort to the old journo trick when you say you visited lots of bars and spoke to lots of people .

I would hazard a guess that lots of folks who post on here against immigration have at sometime been in hospital for instance and been cared for by an immigrant nurse etc.
Immigrant nurses cared wonderfully well when my g daughter had her spine correction op recently.
Racism in any form is abhorrent and i would hope you would at least agree with that .

Grimshaw,
No one denies that at all. Canada would not survive without immigrants but they have to be of a certain calibre. I don’t think many surgeons pay money to enter the UK by crossing the channel on a dinghy. Neither do they immediately latch on to benefits. Read what David Blunkett says about life in Sheffield. I like to think I am not racist but I do feel some rancour when I read of incidents in Rochdale, Rotherham etc. I feel more than rancour when I see them burning the UK flag as troops are on the streets. That is an insult to the Queen, those soldiers, the population at large and those that have perished defending that flag.

H M Revenue and Customs publish annually the Tax Gap figures.
The Tax Gap is the difference between the tax collected and what HMRC assess as the tax that should be collected.
HMRC is the only country in the world to regularly publish a detailed Tax Gap report.
The latest report indicates a Tax Gap of £35 billion.
Tax evasion accounts for £5.3 billion and tax avoidance £1.8 billion. The largest single amount of the tax gap is from small companies which accounts for £14 billion.
Insofar as large companies organise their tax affairs it should be obvious that it is done on a global scale and arranged to minimise the total tax take.
The most traded global product after oil is coffee. A multinational coffee company operating in the UK may well base their EU Intellectual Property rights to their coffee bean processing in another country in the EU. When the UK arm buys it's coffee from that country the transfer price will include a charge for intellectual property rights which reduces the tax liability in the UK but increases it in the other EU country where business taxes are lower. An example of one of the methods used by global players pursuing tax efficiency.
In the same vein every Amazon sale in the UK goes through Luxembourg for tax purposes and every Apple sale goes through Ireland.

What a load of horse manure again.

How did you sleep after the Liar Blair got us into a war, Whups? He is after all a war criminal by way of the offence of waging an aggressive war, this was set out at the Nuremburg hearings.

So come on how did you sleep after the labour leader sent us to war? must have been happy with the decision as it was a Labour lie, you like to play the Blood On Hands card over Brexit at every whim. Did you wash the blood off your hands and just shrug your shoulders without a thought for the dead?

How many would have voted for it had they known the truth behind the dodgy dossier?

Well they wouldn't have voted for it if they had known there were no weapons of mass destruction, but Tony was hell bent on invading Iraq, and I agreed with it, dodgy dossier or not, Saddam had caused enough trouble in the world, and he needed to be got rid of, but what amazed me was that even though experts were saying that a dangerous power vacuum would be created in Iraq, which could lead to civil war, which would be far more deadly than beating the Iraqi army, and we and the USA would be smack bang in the middle of it, and we would get hurt, and that is exactly what happened, so why didn't George and Tony not concentrate more on planning for a post Saddam Iraq, rather than thinking everything would be OK once they had got rid of Saddam.

Lots and lots of newspapers all over the world have carried stories of the rise of anti Semitism in the Labour Party so to simply quote the Mail is a bit off the mark. A quick google search shows all the reports.
