It's not that important,I can do without fireworks, like i have said before if you want to hear loud bangs,Rockets flying and things burning join the Armed forces.Best thing they do if they do ban them.

They should be banned for sale to the general public but the tradition should be kept and fireworks provided to sensible authorities for display purposes only.

When I was a kid I wanted to be on the biggest bonfire, and have the loudest bangers and the best rockets, the kids of today have not changed and never will its a british tradition, hate it or like it we should keep it, and before the animal people start I have a dog she hates it has most dogs do but I can do nothing about it except get knockout pills from the vet.

I think you will find that kids have changed coccium,When a kid of 14/15 years and 6 foot tall with his hood up is throwing bangers at folk as one did today outside Wallgate station,Or puts one through your letter box on good old november the 5th then kids have changed not all of them, And it's not just teenagers who do it i have seen men acting like morons on bonfire night,So now is the time to ban them no probs with organised celebrations,As for pets you shouldn't be giving them knockout pills for things like that.

I opt for the revolution lol
I am scared to death of fireworks, I love the displays but seeing kids chucking them about makes my blood run cold.
I'm all for displays and none for general sale to the public.

I dont think kids have changed one bit its the minority again who get the attention for doing bad things. As for the six foot moron throwing bangers at people I ask you this how many kids in Wigan that day would not dream of doing such things?. If I should not give pills to my dog why does the vet of many years experience prescribe them?

It seems now that the minority are the ones who wouldn't do stuff like that,Gangs of kids roaming the streets of scholes are not botherd if they hurt, disrupt,or even kill people now, so to say they haven't changed is wrong, and they find it funny to launch rockets down the street and throw fireworks at people and houses,But you can't touch them or upset them or they get the Bobby's on to you.Firework ban yes please starting now.

Yes some morons do that with fireworks but many more do not, even in Scholes.

We seem to have veered off the issue here, folks. A blanket ban on fireworks would, probably, be accepted, as most people have said they can do without. Maybe organised displays only, would be accepted. What the issue here is, the Chinese new year would be exempted because it is 'traditional', to an ethnic minority. If shitting in the street on a Friday, was 'traditional', to an ethnic minority, it would be protected by the namby pamby do-gooders we have running this country nowadays.

But they don't go running around the streets a month before and a month after throwing fireworks at people and their property.

I've looked all over the Internet but haven't come across anything that mentions an outright ban, the only thing I've found is an Early day motion It doesn't have much of a chance of becoming law.
