Perkin, looking at that picture you can see Colin straight away. Meat and Praytu washed down with a bottle of Carlsberg Special Brew, always had Gravy and a Bowl of raw Onions in vinegar with any Pie. Anybody remember what was on the Ceiling in the side room?

rio,
If you had two of those pies they dropped like a lead balloon. Just to digress a little we spoke about Stan Mapson a year or two ago and I asked if you ever saw him these days. Do you?

Not seen Stan for a few months but I was out with Curly last week-end. May bump into Stan over Christmas, will mention you to him. Had many a chat about sessions in the "Market" with the Mapsons

rio,
I would be obliged if you wouldn't mind giving me a mention. I am over next May and wouldn't mind a pint with them if it can be arranged. Thanks in advance.

I remember helping out at a jumble sale in St John's Hall in Dicconson St, the sale was ready for closing when Micky Dalton rolled up and bought four suits for ten bob with a free suitcase.

After we finished packing up a few of us decided to go for a pint in the Market. When we got there Micky was already in and wearing one of the suits, had already sold two suits for ten bob each and was in final negotiations for the sale of the last suit for seven and six!

Micky's comment.....let the good times roll!

Happy memories of a proper pub!
