Pubs reopening

I know the old Longneck in Ince green lane is due to reopen anyday now, but can anyone tell me what is happening to the Amberswood tavern, there seems to be quite a lot of activity going on there ???

I believe the amberswood is undergoing a full refurb and will be opening soon. I was told a guy called dougie who lives opposite the pub will be running it. I used to do fri and sun in there and i loved it. It would be great to work there again.

That used to be my regular in the early 60s rnicky, I had my first pint in there at the age of 17 in 1956, at that time it was a magees marshall pub, went through the door sharp left and in the vault one of the smallest there was, on the right was the snug, but straight through and to the left was the concert room, where the groups were just starting up, we used to have them in there especially skiffle groups, them were the days, wish I was back among them and knew then what I know now,
