I agree with that policy also, but what are their policies on education, the NHS, etc etc etc. That one policy aint enough to make this country run smoothly, I'd also like it written in stone that no matter what creed or colour anyone is they are welcome here as long as they respect our culture, and that the only freebie they will get is a ticket home unless they are self sufficient.

If there are NO limits then how are the services like schools, hospitals, housing, social security funds going to cope with a constant flood of people?? How, or who will provide jobs for an unlimited amount of migrants. Don't know about UK but Australia has a migration quota every year, roughly about 110,000, then refugees on top of that.

Can an EEC member move/live/work completely unconditionally throughout Europe now??

diff between aussie and the UK gal is this...you got some space to fill, this small isle is full now. apart from that, we dont have anyone at the tiller in the UK. its just a free for all, and fill yer boots mentality, topped up by a load of pie in the sky promises.

The bottom line is Fear Billy, fear that your lifestyle that people have fought wars for will be swamped, (your being anybody not just you) fear that your culture will be smothered, fear that your jobs will be taken, fear that your standard of living will disappear, fear that the people you elected to make the right decisions made false promises to get elected and will give it all away, fear that the kind of life you had, your grandchildren will not get to enjoy. And that is only natural. So what's the answer?

I think the answer is a simple one really.
My pal emigrated to Canada a few years ago. She is now a canadian, has adopted everything to do with their country. Before she was allowed to live there she had to know its history, its anthem be able to support herself, she sold her home in uk to buy a property in canada and found a job before she left.
During one of the inductions a man asked what he would be entitled to if he didn't work ( he was by the way of a certain ethnicity)....he was informed, he was entitled to LEAVE Canada.Fair enough that!
We need to be choosy who we let into UK, our NHS is being drained, rented accomodation for locals is scarce, and immigrants do tend to jump the queue.I've seen this first hand and it shocked me how well they were treated compared to our locals.

A man coming into this country as an immigrant from a country that alows him to have more than one wife, can he claim benifits for all his wives and all his children.? And you get the likes of me and many many more people who have worked bloody hard all our lives and still paying bloody income tax and cant get a penny benifit for nowt, All this crap goverment has given me is free bus travel the nearest bus stop to my house is a mile away. They give us £100 heating allowance and what did the lecky and gas companys do put the price up so they got the £100 and much more the robbing B******ds. Immigration should be stopped now this island is overflowing with benfit scroungers.

I read today in one of the daily grumps that a preacher of hate Abu Izzadeen has been arrested for incitment of terrorists acts. This man is alleged to recieve £700 per week in benefits he also has been advertising for more wives so no doubt he can get more benefits to spend on his campagne of inflammatory speeches against this country, the country that houses him and his family and gives him a lifestyle that some of us can only dream about,he and his supporters should be kicked out now immediatley. Has for Billy being a bully boy, guess what, when its backs against the wall time I hope I am with the likes of Billy nuff said!

i would be most happy to have the likes of yourself in my corner cocc.
as for the arrests being made(all of a sudden)it strikes me there are local elections coming up soon, and labour is expecting to get the shaft, not for their policies, but for the lack of policies.could the arrests have anything to do with this i wonder??

Tell you summat Coccium if I was PM I'd have no bloody problem kicking the likes of terrorists out, sod human rights, we have the right to have our taxesgo somewhere else, and we also have the right to walk our streets without fear of being shot, bombed or murdered by terrorists. I'd kick em out but give em a few years hard labour first.

The local elections coming soon, Yes the arrests could well be timed for people to think the government has got its finger out at long last, and I may mosey down to the polling station and select a candidate it will be the first time for many years. In years gone by you only had a small choice but now I think in my ward we have got five or six to select from.
So I am going to see if its possible to make a change in my ward,I dont know who to vote for,but a change is a must in my very humble opinion. X marks the spot.

Why don't they have a probationary period for permanent residents? It just seems too easy for people to walk into another country with no conditions attached?

How about keep out of trouble for a couple of years, don't bludge on taxpayers, just a few simple things to prove you are "fair dinkum" about wanting to be in this country (take your pick) and make a contribution to society? Not too much to ask is it?

that is the sensible way ozz, but who in charge, here in the uk is sensible???its spin, thats the name of the game. answer me this, why do the french feed and shower the migrants at there coasts lines, prior to closing a blind eye whilst they hop aboard the trains/trucks coming to the UK??at the end of the day, its this blathering bunch of phoneys we call gov thats at fault. i dont know if any of you guys saw a documentary a while back,...our tony was on his feet in his best theatrical mode. he was (preaching )to the assembled envoys of various countries on the need to get tough on terrorists and terrorism = later, one french delegate told the tv crews...he should talk(tony)he has at least five terrorist in the UK that we the french have been trying to extradite for the past 4 years???but english law prevents them being deported???anyone can tell blair(i am sure he already knows this)that the UK is a terrorist base, and has been since the pratt(blair)signed the human rights act. so far, the only people to benefit from the human rights, are terrorists, and the rest of the darker side of humanity.and i am astonished at the so called intellectuals(a couple in here)who are in full support of the "human rights"bullc**p.
i agree with ozz, there should be a probationary period, break the law, and your gone. we have guys(asylum seekers)breaking the law all the time, yet they are not deported???they appeal against this, and this can take years to sort out, and the likes of cherie blair is laughing all the way to the bank.

Ever heard the expression what goes around comes around?. To me it is a case of the chickens coming home to roost.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, they should have heeded the advise of Enoch Powell, but he was labelled a racist, yet all he wanted to do was offer a practical solution to what is now a major problem.
Let's look at the cause of all this, going back to the days of the Empire, when the map of the world was coloured mainly pink and our forebears colonised and exploited these distant lands and when they had had their fill the handed the countries over to dictators and despots. Sadly only a small minority of the population benefitted from their colonial masters, consequently these people are in constant turmoil and as Commonwealth subjects they turn to the mother country,UK,for help. The days of the "Big white Queen Lady",sailing over big waters or flying in on "big silver bird" are gone, the government made a rod for it's own back in the '50s when it did that deal with West Indies after the world collapse of sugar prices;UK isn't the only colonial nation with the current experience, several European countries have the same problem and rightly or wrongly, deal with it in their own way.
Perhaps the answer is more investment in countries like Pakistan, both financial and social, not exploitation, and maybe it will stem the flow of immigrants to your already overcrowded shores. I see a time when Indian ex-pats will want to return home,to have their share of India's booming economy.
Remember that not all Muslims or Asians are terrorists, they just want to share the standard of living you enjoy, if not your culture, but if you treat them as less than human you are creating an opportunity for terrorism to flourish.

keep an eye open in your own back yard roy-boy. there is an exodus to western lands by eastern countries. you can include partly filled aussie territories to be on the agenda. your advise could well be needed in your own patch not to far in the future.
PS ya heard it here first. =
