put hypnotists in your search engine, and you will be spoiled for choice.
theres one in west/houghton, but take your pick from the rest.

Do some groundwork first. Check out the main organisation that controls hypnotists ( i dont know the proper name). They can recommend a registered hypnotist in your local area.

Paul McKenna is quite good if you can afford celeb prices.I know i cant. I can recommend his books though.I bought a book of Paul Mc Kenna's once and it had a cd with it. Seriously, though after listening to it, it did make me feel really dizzy, it was quite hypnotic. You will never need to have a glass of the hard stuff again as it as the same effect. So i suppose health wise it is good for you.lol. The book was good though.

Zoe, i hope you get the support you are looking for. I know someone who had/has a number of phobias and it can really stress the person as well as the family surrounding the phobic person. On a positive note the person im talking about is tons better, but it has been a struggle.I hope that you have lots of support.

Zoe it is all about building your confidence up, smallsteps and everything. I know G.Ps are not too keen on prescribing medication. Therapy is the cure or so they say. It depends really on the individual. My heart goes out to you has the condition is so debilitating. Are you not in contact with a support group? Like i said before i know of someone who has been in your position. I dont understand how it feels i can only imagine.I know it is not the same but I once had a panic attack whilst out shopping, never had one before, dont know what kicked it off but it was truly dreadful. I was shopping and i had to get the cashier at the tills to pack my shopping and get my money out of my purse to pay, i was in tears.I was shaking and very overwhelmed. It was so difficilt to go back in there but i did and i just kept thinking positive thoughts. But its easy for someone like me to say that unless your in the position you are in it is so difficult to understand.
You know i should become a therapist, im just not clever enough.lol
I wish you well!

panick attacks are very horrible things to experiance, similar thing happened to me in morrisons and i just let it take over me, instead of going back out and trying again, so it just got worse n worse, if u ever do become a therapist ill be your first customer..lol...take care

Have you noticed something Zoe.... there are lots of advertisements for hypnosis on this page. Its quite scary really, i mean you have to be careful dont you. But i once read about how this girl's life had been ruined by an amateur hypnotist, she wasnt brought out of her trance proper and it left her with all sorts of problems.
How awful. You have to be really careful

Zoe, you should go to a Hypnotist and ask them if they can take part of your subconscious mind back to when you were in Primary school. That might help you to write properly, the way you were taught as a child.

Thats bang out of order Tonker. How rude! Why don't you get hypnotised and get taken back to being a child so you can learn how to stop acting like one.Learn some manners as well.

Zoe24, I know someone who has seen Peter from this site, apparantly he is very good and he will come to see you at home.
I think tonker has spelt his name wrong, there should be a "w" in there somewhere

zoe24, there's no harm anyway in using one of P.McKenna's trance meditation cd's, I have one and if nothing else is really relaxing. Like he says himself, you get a release of endorphins (happy hormones).
I hope you get the support and help you need, there's so much out there, it's just knowing where to look, but the internet is a good tool these days. Of course you have to be careful, but that which may not do any good but doesn't do any harm is always worth a try.
(Tonker's message should be removed, it's obvious he doesn't know how to contribute to a serious topic but wants to let his presence be known anyway, pitiful!)

tonker i dont no what your problem is with me, i have never said anything wrong to you. i think that message was realy rude, as i have said before, it is up to each person how they write and its not like my writing is unreadable..GROW UP

Tonker you are out of order, how wonderful it must be to be as perfect as you are. If you see a thread like this where someone is asking for help, its natural to post something positive, not add to that persons problems with your insults. You are like Mr Angry in this forum, and not happy unless you are being offensive.

I went to a hypnotist for slimming years ago, it didn`t help the weight but it was brilliant I discovered lots of things from my past which I found out to be true later.
Whilst I was going one patient was cured of bed wetting and another of a stammer.
I stopped going because I got divorced and couldn`t afford to continue.
It was ironical that the hypnotist was a really fat man but he said he didn`t find it a problem for him.
