Think of those children who are hungry, homeless, abused, injured , and have lost their parents. A bit of humanity wont go amiss.

Imagine this child being white.

And that's the reality of the way many people in third world countries live - and die. No clean water, no medical help, no nourishing food.

We can't even begin to understand what those folk go through to try to survive and, if what they took off me for my heating allowance and it's gone to help them, then so be it.

Watching some court cases, litigants try to claim pain and suffering because of some nonsense. Well, THAT is pain and suffering that people live with from birth to death, so let's not be begrudging. I've said it many times before, that if every millionaire and billionaire in this country alone donated, say, 10 million each to send to these stricken countries, the government wouldn't need to spend what they take from tax payers.

I cannot understand why they carry on breeding. Unlike this country where the government pay to encourage benefit claiments to have umpteen kids, whatever tempts these folk to bring youngsters into a world where they have no future?

Ignorance, Rio. Plus the fact that they don't have contraceptives on hand or education like we do here, but they do have disease and fear of violence. I understand your point of view, but this has happened to many countries in the world, including Biafra, but South Sudan is the poorest above Burundi, Mozambique and others, yet it is rich in oil. It's wrong, it's cruel, and inhuman.

The problem is none of the money will go to them.Whichever junta gets their hands on it first will use it for themselves.I bet that none of the military are starving.

It amazes me when there is an advert for water aid and it shows kids walking miles to get water. Why not build their mud huts and shanty towns next to the water supply

The money won't go to their government...they are all corrupt as is their junta....why keep on breeding when the children have no hope in life....they have and always will live in mud huts because it suits their grim outlook on life which they must enjoy it
or they wouldn't be there in the first place. It's easy to sit there and beg rather than work.

While they are walking a few miles on their way to collect water, maybe they could call off at Boots chemist for a packet of three.

Albion Its the Black millionaires who cause the problem, they rob the food and supplies that the West provide and keep the poor down, They are now sending terrorists over in the disguise of poor refugees, They are infiltrating and soon the war will begin,

1st mate the other half must have water so why built miles away from a water supply Nobody would live in a desert again unless there was a water supply near by

Peter.
Has it ever occurred to you that innocent civillians and children may have been forced to flee to the desert for sanctuary and safety?

Yes, there is no water there. That is why nobody wants to live there. Unless, that is, they have no choice.

World population growth is the elephant in the room, nobody wants to talk about it. It's a big contributor to global warming.
In Sudan the birth rate is 4.22 children per woman, in the UK it's 1.57 children per woman although it's approximately 3 for Muslim women.
In the 6o years to 2020 years Sudan's population has grown from 10 to 50 million. In that time the UK population has grown from 40 to 67 million. Therein lies the bulk of the problem, the availability of water in required locations cannot keep up with the rate of change of the population.

It seems no one is interested in the black child above.
I imagine most people just ignored the picture, but would be up in arms if the child was white.

Oh my good gracious. I can’t believe what I’ve been reading here.

First Mate: There doesn’t seem to be any empathy from the folks on here about the photo of that poor baby obviously starving to death. Its ribcage can clearly be seen, and the cry is that of hunger and pain. I wonder how they would feel if that happened to their own grandchildren, or are they so anaesthetised that the photo means nothing?

I never said that the ethnicity of those millionaires, billionaires had to be white. I don’t care about their colour. They can be black, white, brown or any other combination in between, and I never suggested they should provide their money to help to the governments of those countries which already have their own riches.

They are rich enough and powerful enough to send in people who are willing to help those poor starving folk from their own resources.

Mud huts? Enjoy their lives? Get a job? WHAT? They live in shanty towns with no water, no electricity, no food, no nothing and have to walk for miles to get water, and they live in stinking hot heat with no means of cooling down. You’re all making it sound as if they have a choice, and I am genuinely shocked at the lack of sympathy and caring for other human beings that don’t have what we have, wallowing in our own comfy homes, driving our cars, and have all the food, water and other utilities we need. Have you no sympathy for starving babies? Okay, yes, they could stop having sex and making more, but what other kind of pleasure do they have in life? They can't nip to Boots for contraception. They’re deprived of everything else.

Unbelievable.

Aid comes is many forms, food just one of them

Quite correct, firstmate.

Not only food. Aid also comes in the form of clothing, footware, tents, sleeping bags, medicine, etc plus other first aid essentials.

I'm all for them receiving aid to help them.
Otherwise people will be complaining ( myself included ) when they all land over here seeking asylum.

The more aid they receive to help them survive, the better. In my opinion.

The present government have been no different than the Tory governments in spending money on foreign aid to send food, clothing, water supplies etc to countries were the people never get to see anything which has been sent for them.

Perhaps, one of the reasons why they come to our country on the excuse of claiming asylum to make sure they do receive anything or indeed everything!

The more they don't see it, the more they will come here!
