Dropsy
Is it just me but I cannot go a full day without dropping some thing onto the kitchen floor If its not the tea spoon its the top off the pop bottle or the plastic cover off a container. Is it me who is getting clumsier with old age but good exercise bending over to pick something up?

Me too. But my dropsy had a physical cause, for which I have recently had surgery. Still have to have more surgery in the future. Owd age has drawn backs but it's better than the alternative

Jathbee no pins and needles just have this thing about items ending up on the floor. This morning while I was having my breakfast I put my fork on my plate( I do the crossword while having breakfast)to pick up the pen when next my fork ended up on the floor Sometimes it is the simplest of things like putting rubbish in the swing bin and some of the rubbish ends up on the floor.I don't think I do a day without some thing ending up on the floor

I have a similar problem also, Peter.
The dropping of items is not a major problem, its trying to get down and pick them up that's the problem

Luckily, I don't have much of a problem picking things up from the floor as I'm still fairly bendy.
My problem is picking up small things like paper clips, sewing needles - anything tiny. Reason being is, when I had a mini stroke back in 2011, the finger ends on my right hand remained numb to this day, so I can't actually feel those things, but I do at times drop things from that hand for that reason. .

I'm always dropping things too, but I have what I call a "pickerupper" or to give it its proper name, a Long handled helping hand. In fact I have three. One in the bedroom, one in the kitchen and another one in the lounge and quite honestly I couldn't manage without them.

As long as you manage, Holly, and you can get by, that is the main thing.
I have seen them, actually. And I believe they are a decent piece of equipment which can make everyday chores a bit easier. Especially if people are not as mobile as they used to be.

That's a good idea, but I can't actually "feel" those tiny things so picking them up is hard enough, but not being able to keep a grip on them is the real problem. Ah well, I've managed somehow over the last 14 years as I've had to compensate by picking them up with my left hand, then transferring them to my right if I get frustrated enough.
You should have seen my typing when it first happened until I could get some control back in my fingers! LOL!

The magnet picks them up for you, Mollie.
You don't have to feel them?
