A "Fool" and his money.

Started by: Billinge Biker (2960)

Are soon parted...NEVER...a gambler...borrower...or lender be. Two couples I know who go in my local club...one couple just returned from Vegas after watching the Rugby league and stayed on for an extra week. Found it amusing the trip cost him £13.000. when questioned about this expensive outing...he replied...got stung in the casinos for £6.000 . Each to their own I say....no way would that happen to me....the other couple ear wigging the conversation berated him for wasting his money in this manner....but be known to all the second couple drinks to excess most nights and a modest calculation made by a friend estimated their annual cost of beer for 12 months in the club to be in excess of £26.000. they both work...their house is in disrepair and borrow off family members....Kettle calling Pot I think.

Good grief. I couldn't sleep at night if I owed money to anyone. And I couldn't, under any circumstances justify spending that kind of money just one holiday.

As you say. A fool and his money.
