Tattoos

OMG...I know I'm old 66yrs...went to Center Parcs in Penrith last week with her indoors for a birthday break..in the pool was a Luvly looking young woman..20's/30's...totally covered from toe to scalp in various tattoo's..she had a small child with her...thought to myself...why have you done that . To me it did nothing for her....is it me ? What will she be like in her 60's/70's ?...will she regret it.

No, it’s not just you Mr Biker. I absolutely hate tattoos, along with piercings. They do nothing to enhance a person’s looks - in fact - quite the opposite, more especially on women, although they’re not a good look on men either.
They do it because they need attention and to make sure people see them, most especially when they’re visible for the whole world to see, so they cover their real identity and take on another, which probably makes them feel better about themselves.
There was another thread on tattoos a while ago started by Angel, and in that I also said that it’s their way of saying “Look at me, I need you to look at ME!” It’s because they have a very low opinion of themselves and lack self-esteem, so feel it necessary for folk to look at them and discuss, be it good attention or bad; it doesn’t matter to them.
And yes, a 20/30 year old may have beautiful tight skin now, but when they get to my age and the wrinkles have settled in they will look at themselves in the mirror and wonder who’s looking back at them; but by then it will be too late to have them removed as old skin doesn’t renew like young skin.
Very foolish.

I agree, the human body is a perfect object and to put graffiti on it is a sin ,
Mick miller the comedian said, You used to go to the circus and see a strong man and sometimes there was a fat lady with tattoos, now they're everywhere

Not cheap either.

I don't know how far the woman had gone that Mr Biker saw, but I once saw a woman (around 40) on TV programme and, not only was her body covered in tattoos, but her face as well. I also saw one man on the same show with his face tattooed to look like a skull.
Thing is, how do these people hope to get a decent job if they're going to frighten away customers or clients?

If the Tattoo craze is not bad enough, the lip enlargement to make themselves look like Grouper fish is as bad!

According to the tattoo community. It's an art form and while I'm certainly no fan of tattooed bodies, be it male or female, I must admit there are some really impressive tattoos. As for body enhancements, YUK.

Oh heck, Peter, how awful.
My niece would kill me if she read what I thought about tattoos as she's a tattooist, and a very good one at that having attained degrees in art and graphic art. Neither her dad, mother or brother have any, and my brother was so disappointed when she had her first one done on herself. Still, it's her life, and she's a grown woman, and not one to be dictated to either.

In my youth I had a large tattoo of a full size monkey on my chest to my stomach , I'm ashamed of it now and wear clothes to hide it but, the ladies like to, shake its tail every once in a while

Are you being serious? If so, what made you do it, Tom?

That's because in spite of having differences on politics, we are both not verging on lunacy!

If the tattoo had been well below the stomach, it might not been a tail they wanted to shake!
