He's known in the circles of duty free tobacco as. Sir Walter Raleigh because. He's brought more tobacco over here than Sir Walt did

Don’t worry about me, boys and girl, I’m quite busy at the moment. I’m over in Spain, removing the doors from the garage part of my house in order to install a bigger kitchen. I’m bricking up the old garage side and am putting in a door I’ve made and a window that I’m taking from the porch side, replacing that with a French windows unit, which I’ve bought ready-made from Brico Depot in Tarragona.
It’s been in the high 20’s here, which makes the job harder.
Anyroadup, I’ll be back to the ‘old wet and windy’ on the 15th for a couple of weeks.
PS: I’m getting some internet from a phone shop in town, it’s called “Digi” and it’s €13 a month, which I reckon isn’t a bad deal. (it’s so she can watch shite, like Coronation Street and Emerdale Farm, while we’re over here!) and I can get on WiganWorld more often!
Love from Tonker.
Have a nice day, missing you already!

Has it gone warmer, again?
The weather was a little mixed last week and the week before: it was only around 20°C some days, windy at times and there were spells of rain. One afternoon, the weather quickly changed from a very warm (around 26°C), sunny day with a beautiful blue sky to a dark grey sky with quite strong wind and people rushed around to take cover from the quite large hailstones.
Some evenings were quite cool: around 16°C.

It’s quite chilly at night, Ian, not cold enough for a fire though.
Hot through the day Yesterday, in the morning, it shows 28 on the pharmacy’s sign. Today is cloudy, about 25. Tomorrow it forecasts light rain late on, but still hot, so it will be a bit clammy and there’ll be a few mosques about, so I’ll keep th”owd piernas covered up!
PS: the “Digi” €13 a month deal I mentioned earlier, is unlimited calls/texts and 100gb of data. Unused data carried on to next month if you pay before end of month.
Does that sound good?
I’m only on Asda pay as you go in England.

I'd say that is a good deal. I'm on EE unlimited calls and texts and 20 gigs for £9.70 per month and I'm unhappy because the deal at the start was £9 per month and its since gone up so when the deal ends in June '25, I'll be gone,

Ah., yes, but no, but you can’t watch a month’s worth of Spastication Street and Emerdale Farm on 3gbs, not even on 30gbs AND go on WW as well !

There were a number of evenings which were a little chilly in September, tonker. But, they weren't going to stop us from eating out on the balcony - just needed to put something warmer than a t-shirt on. Thankfully, most evenings were pleasantly warm enough to stay in a t-shirt and shorts.
Tonker, were you there when that awful weather (grey sky and hailstone) came in quickly from the sea?
Replied: 2nd Oct 2024 at 17:36
Yes Ian, that was late August/ first couple of days in September. We don’t get rain like that in UK very often. It made a few quite deep gullies on my tracks that I had to fill in. A few days before I came back it washed some away again!
I’m on campo, see. I’ve just come in from exposing the block- ends for a start tomorrow and, guess what?, I’ve got about ten bites on both legs, just started itching off, it’s like hell on earth!
