23 degrees in Southport today ,3 other cyclists and myself met on the canal at Woodhouse lane and cycled on the new towpath to Burscough then, minor roads to Southport, 22 miles there and we had lunch then. cycled back, no traffic but, a few dog walkers, rabblers and the odd farm tractor, the best day of this year so far,

Walked down the canal in that direction as far as Sacarisbrick (in a few legs) - grub in The Ring O'Bells was memorable

Tonker, there are no crocodiles in Southport because there are men on quadbikes with a spray gun, they spray all round the town and it deters the critters from Coming into Southport, These men on quadbikes earn good money to keep the town safe and I said to one of them." hey thee, I've never seen a crocodile in Southport " He answered and said, " tha waint do lad because the spay works well dunnit "

If yoo like Crocs, Gators, Venomous Snakes and Nasty Spiders and other Horrid Critters, then this is the place which I once had the pleasure of visiting Gatorland

One on me favourite things was doing the 'Swamp Walk'

Boast away Tommy Tee, I would like to go there as well, Them crocs have been around loooooong before us and they are smarter than us too, you never see them working or polluting the planet, To meet them would be an honour, When we invaded their environment, they did not welcome us, they hate us so they ate us, flesh blood and bones, no waste was left so, Nowe the cleverer people respect them and treat them fairly,

TTS, We went to Gatorland and enjoyed it and the information given but was surprised that they sold gatorburgers ,steaks,gator chowder etc.I have eaten alligator and it was quite good.
