Hawkeye

Started by: jacks (437)

I was telling my wife about a T.V. program I used to watch when I was a young boy. The show, first aired 1957, was called 'The last of the Mohicans.' I loved it. The Mohican in question was named Chingachgook, and his partner was a frontiersman named Hawkeye. My wife wanted to know if he was any relation to the famous Scottish frontiersman Hawkeye the noo ?

I remember the episode where he patched up a leaking canoe with some moss , always thought that might come in handy one day when we were playing in Borsdane Wood.

I record 'The Adventures of Robin Hood' and watch it on Saturday morning, just like in the Fifties at the pictures.. Sad really I suppose.

I'll look forward to watching the Beverly hill billies again, Ive got a couple on DVD but you can only get the very early Black and white ones, The later coloured ones don't seem to be available.

All of Bonanza is available on You Tube, so is Hawkeye. I've been watching loads of those old shows on there from the 70s and 80s, and they're better than the garbage we get on TV these days.
