After Brexit the best outcome for the UK trade wise would be a free trade agreement with the EU which is what we got, so we don't 'need' a free trade agreement with the US.

But did you know Golden Bear that after the EU the UK's largest trading partner is the US and that trade is done under existing WTO (world trade organisation) rules, which have import and export tariffs of about 10% and the EU as a whole, their largest trading partner is also the US.

The UK is the second highest foreign direct investor in the US with a value of $ 660 billion.
The US is the biggest foreign direct investor in the UK with a value of $1.08 trillion.
