Scammers

Started by: Owd Codger (3122)

Beware of any young person knocking on your door, handing you a card which says they are deaf and dumb and raising money for their higher education by selling drawings they claimed to have drawn, but if you buy one, you will find that it is not an original drawing, but a copy.

Needless to say, I said I was not interested as I had come across the same kind of thing on occasons in public houses.

They are not deaf and dumb, they are scammers!

They are everywhere Codger, I've recently been looking for a yamaha keyboard and as you know when you look on line the scammers can see that so, I recieved an email offering a yamaha key board the one I'm looking for for £67, The average price on Amazon and ebay is £380 - £450 so at £67 it cannot be true but, I'll see how they work it,
I answered the email saying, Thats either stolen or a scam so stick it up your bum,
Cheeky beggars answered that by saying, No sir its a genuine offer to get our online shop up and running with unbelievable offers, We accept paypal and honour paypals T&C's so you money is safe, They sent me an online order form and on the form it stated, Send the payment on the friends and family mode,,
yeah right, THATS the Sting,,,,,,,friends and family do not get the protection of 'money back guarantee'
So watch out for that one,

I wouldn't they were "scammers". Thats a very strong word. They are probably just trying to make a couple of pounds without stealing off you.

I don't see a problem with that?

If you don't like what they are selling you don't purchase the items.!

Reminds me of the time when my parents could not stop laughing, having found me attempting to paint a picture , but holding the brush not with my fingers, but my toes.

Someone had been hawking paintings allegedly done by children with no hands, who painted using their feet.

I was in a panic, as I tried to explain to mum and dad, If ever I lose my hands, I do not seem to be able to do these things using my feet!

Well, I was very young at the time. (Four, I think)

I had got to the stage of being able to take from the box, and strike a match using my toes!
