Advert for the blind people

Started by: Platty (2107)

There is an advert on TV which features 2 brothers growing up. One is blind, one not. The first one (sighted) acts a bit like an end hole when they are young and puts something horrible in his drink. And so it goes on until there is a happy ending and the second (blind) gets a guide dog.

Here is my dilemma.

In the final scene brother 2 (blind with dog) is approaching brother 1 (sighted) and says, "Hiya Max".
How does he know it's his brother Max if he's blind?

He's partially sighted? Just seen the ad, the sighted one calls Max by name, perhaps he recognised the voice.

No, he's not partially sighted in older age.
Yes, FM, but which one calls? It looks like the blind brother.
And please don't be an idiot (like some familials) and tell me it' the dog.

Thats an advert and its meant to tempt you to donate,
In real life you often see a sign in shop windows, " dogs not allowed, Except for blind dogs ", I wonder who the sign is aimed at, the blind dog owner can't read it, neither can the dog,

Fact: Many people who are blind have some remaining vision. If someone tells you they're blind, don't be surprised if you find they still have some useful sight. Different causes of blindness affect people differently.

It is not a blind dog it is a guide dog.

Good point Annefair but, a guide dog does not read either and if the owner can read the sign in the shop door " no Dogs allowed except ' guide dogs', he/she does not need a guide dog,

Hi Tomplum
It is understood by people who are visually impaired that they are permitted with their guide dogs to have access to areas etc where other people with dogs would not be permitted. The signs are displayed for the benefit of sighted people.
