From how I see it, the Australians will build a version of either the American Virginia Class Submarine, or a version of the UK Astute Class Submarine, the UK has planned for seven Astutes, and construction has started on the seventh and final sub, the Unites States has got plans for 66 Virginia Class Subs, with less than half of this number, either active or under construction, and the decision on which sub to be built, looks to be due in 18 months time, unless behind the scenes it has already been decided which sub the Australians are going to build.

The Americans supply the enriched uranium to the UK for our nuclear needs, and the Americans will supply the same to the Australians for their nuclear subs, and has well as the enriched uranium, the Americans also supply us with the Trident Missile System, however the nuclear warheads and the delivery system, is built and designed by Britain, as is everything else in the British nuclear industries, Rolls-Royce build the reactors, and if Whupsy and his mates had not spent all of the 1960s and 70s on strike, and making the UK the sick man of the world, then we would probably have had our own rocket systems, and we would have been on the moon by now, to which we could have put Whupsy on the moon and left him theer

So what is America getting out of AUKUS, so immediately the Americans will have far more access to base American military assets in Australia, they are planning a sub base in Perth to base their nuclear subs at, more aircraft, troops and there is talk of placing intermediate range nuclear tipped missiles on Australian soil

Apparently the French have been messing the Australians about over the agreement they had to buy the French conventionally powered subs.
