Hi Tom, I recon tha wants a lathe ,It is 20" X 5 3/4 throw, if you want to look at it i will meet you at the top of Meadowcroft at a time you can manage, send me a message as soon as poss'

Tom….. I don’t really know much about lathes but yours doesn’t look too secure or mounted on a very stable base. I remember my son having to add much more support to the floor in his workshop when he moved his lathe.

I’ve got a lathe for sale big but I am not at home now so can’t tell you what size it is If you are still looking for the right one next week I’ll be home .I am in north Wales though

Yes bentlegs, but it does say “In place and ready to go” along with what appears to be a row of possibly wood chisels and connection to power.

Yes Anne you're right, It is ready to go, that is a solid top and its screwed down, I've just done some trial cuts and its ok,

I once made a wooden reading lamp on a wood lathe, it is known as 'wood turning' and I rooined me first attempt, because I forgot to put the hole through the middle of the lamp for the electric wire, before I started the wood turning, yoo drill the hole through the middle first, other wise it comes out sideways, so bear that in mind, and the wood I used was from an old table leg

Friend of mine is a turner, and he swears by Cherry wood.
Hardwoods can be quite expensive these days.

Mr Plumb, I am on the cadge, I need 5 Lenths of 15m Coper 12 Inches long have you any that you wont be useing? will pay from back pocket, Also 1 piece of 22m 12 inches long + a 22to 15 Reducer, The roads are a bugger.
