Never had to use them myself. Sorry to say most of the resulting advice I have heard spoken about is, "Go and see a solicitor"

I used them in the 1980s and I agree with what Anne said, and I am not saying what the advice was that I wanted but the person I saw did not know anything about it, and was looking in various books for the answers, which I had already done myself, so I was unimpressed, and this was when it was the Citizens Advice Bureau in Rodney Street.

Thanks, Anne and TTS. I know WWers have said similar in the past.
Perhaps the organisation is most helpful for people who don’t know where to start looking for advice?
Their help is free and confidential, and you can speak to them from home by telephone or even video call (Link).

Citizen's Advice Service .... USELESS! .... (in massive big letters!)

I haven’t had any experience of them, Tonker, but surely they must be OF USE TO SOME or they wouldn’t keep going?
(I can use massive big letters too! )

An organisation that tries to help is ok by me.
It's difficult to measure success not knowing how many enquiries they get.
It's like Samaritans. Who can say how many lives they save.
