Lynedene Hotel in Blackpool has gone bust

Started by: tomplum (12494)

Now that is suprising because I know they will have had a bad year but, next year will be booming year because, fly abroad will be risky, expensive and the quarantine will put many off, ( unless go tonkerjet) So british seaside towns will cash in, The Lyndene was always busy all year round,

St Chavs next door to the Lyndene has also shut, Both of them bought out a couple of years ago by a chinese family, a possible Wong move for them ,

I fell out with Blackpool when they started catering for stag and hen does during the day, I thought the sight of drunk women sucking sugar penises and screaming foul language at each other when families are about wasn't a great advert for the place.

Newquay in Cornwall did the same about 15yrs back so the families stopped going. Don't know what it's like now.

They have spent millions on Blackpool sea front but it still smells of burgers and hot dogs. Go one street back and it looks like a slum area and it one of the top areas for down and outs

My sentiments exactly, go one street back from the prom and yoo go back 50 - 60 years in time, and you are back in the 1960s, but unfortunately a lot of those properties don't look like they have had a lick of paint on them since then

It's lovely walking down the prom, we do it all the time, the problem starts when you turn round and look to the east, and the program showing the dole bludgers waiting for their Giro cheques on Central Drive at midnight do the town any favours.

I love walking down the prom with the sound of the old trams clunking down the tracks, the new trams are quieter, the smell of fish n chips, burgers, fried onions, the crows of happy people, the noise of the arcades and bingo callers, the sea air, the ponies hooves clip clopping along, There is always something to do, This pandemic has hit it with a mighty blow but it will survive because there are lots of people like me with some very fond memories there and going back there brings those memories back, I went last in August as the infections were low and asked Gypsy Rose Lee, When will this covid go away,
she did't know,

Druggies and alkies are everywhere, We have a good selection here in Wigan too, You cannot let them stop you going where you want to, Either blank them or throw them a quid,

If yoo were a druggie or an alky, and yoo were yung, and you are told that the world is your oyster, you are going to want that oyster, and where doo yoo get oysters from ?

The seaside

Yoo are not going to find your oyster in Wigan, so straight away the attraction of Blackpool is obvious, as is the abundance of rented accommodation available, as the place declined as folk went abroad for their holidays.

I mean if I had been a druggy or a drunken bum, or even with my talents I could have been both at the same time, I wouldn't have stopped in Wigan and would have been gone in a flash to Blackpool, I would rather shoot up and get p*ssed in a place with a proper view, with fresh sea air, rather than Wigan.

And I would imagine that there are more employment opportunities in a place like Blackpool for the average arsehole, than in a place like Wigan, it would be seasonal work I know, but drug dealing, prostitution, you would have a guaranteed market from the Blackpool crowds, especially if weather wise it was a nice summer, and if yoo doo well in the summer months from the tourists, then you have got a nice big wodge to see you over the wicked winter months.

You can get sex for a tenner in Blackpool these days (info received from a local bobby) if you don't mind any of the following...
Chlamydia.
Genital herpes.
Gonorrhea.
HIV/AIDS.
HPV.
Pubic lice.
Syphilis.
Trichomoniasis.

Well all that comes under the practises of having 'safe sex' and the Health & Safety people, I am not well knowledged on such matters, but it would not surprise me to learn that although illegal, to hawker sexual services in Blackpool, yoo will need to have the appropriate licence, and licence checks and certificates in place from Blackpool Council

I would imagine that the kind of ladies of the night who are selling sex for a tenner wouldn't be bothering with any kind of a licence.
And the men who use their services deserve all they get.
