Is that the washer off the pop-up 'plug'? (as opposed to the basin drain, which Tom so rightedly pointed out are, usually, 1 1/4")

If so, try an 'o'-ring!

Yes, Tom, I know. But it's not that 'washer'that's required (I think). It's a 'seal'.

It's this one ....

The 'shaft' (moulding) will be 20mm dia., then the seal might be anything mm, then the outside dia. will be the same as the plug.

P.S. I've got a couple in the garage, but they're both bigger than 20mm shaft dia..

P.P.S. I thought a flat o-ring might do, but maybe not, as it'd have to fit in the slot in the moulding. They'll be bastardised.

P.P.P.S. I could be wrong, After all, I'm not a real welder!

Well, Me, of course!

That was this afternoon, but I'm not going now for a few days.
Any trade place should sell them. Just look at their title on that placky bag. The centre hole diameter is 3/4 or 19 mm, but shouls do, laaaaike!
PS: them's only rubber washers, but I feel they should do. Anything's better than a kick in the dick!
