On making the traditional Xmas turkey and trimmings meal. Veg prepared weeks ago, roast spuds even older and crime of all crimes there's a Yorkshire pud on the plate

I cheat a little, for the gravy I use half a bottle of rum, half of whisky and quart of Pernod, I poor it over the turkey and cook for the time specified. Remove from the oven and allow to cool, I throw the turkey away and sup the gravy.
