Roobarb !!!!
Poppycock !!!!
And everything in between,, and with Bedknobs and Broomsticks on them
It's an overturned Lurry, I know cos I saw it happen, unless it's damaged a gas main, but it just looked like an overturned Tonka Toy,, or should that be a Tonker Toy
No injuries, driver was straight out of cab, comforting two women motorists who were upset because they saw it happen
It looked like the lorry driver thought that the slip road carried on after the roundabout, but now he knows it doesn't

He came off the slip road from the motorway, and tried to turn right towards Ashton, and the lorry flipped on the roundabout, at the opposite side to the slip road, the back of the trailer blocking the inside lane on the dual carriageway coming up from Wigan, the rest of the vehicle was on the inside lane of the roundabout, but the right lane was clear, as was the access around the roundabout, I drove up the right lane, and then around the lorry, and on towards Bryn

Found this pic, and they have dragged the wreck further on to the roundabout, and where the black car is parked, the trailer was actually across that, and that is one of the cars which one the women was in, but I am certain the lorry did not hit that car, or one which was parked in front of the lorry on the roundabout ....

Can motorist coming down the slip road not see the signs for a roundabout This is the second accident at this island in a month. The 1st tried to drive over the island and if the middle of the island had not been redesigned would have ended up hitting the statue, The 2nd made it part way round the island then turned over. It takes a lot of combinations to turn a trailer over speed top heavy load mech fault etc . If the driver had to stop at the end of the slip road then drive round the island then speed would not come into the equation ,would like to see if anything besides time on the road shows on his tacho

I have been thinking about this meself, because last Thursday when it happened, the visibility was good, the traffic was light, and he was in a lorry cab high above the carriageway, and coming down the slip road from the motorway there is a clear line of sight for all directions, you can see that the slip road ends at the roundabout, and you can see that there is only a field at the other side of the roundabout, and you can see the other traffic approaching from all sides, and it was dry, and I could not see anything on the road which would have caused the lorry to lose grip, there was no water, mud or oil, and the point being that lorries with their her brakes, can stop on a sixpence, or a shillin, or even on a two bob piece, so even if he was travelling at speed, there is enough room on that roundabout for him to have stopped or at least to have dropped his speed, enough to remain upright when swerving around the roundabout ....
