Wigan newspaper archives

Anyone know where I can view old Wigan newspaper articles that have been archived (free to view online)?. Trying to trace a number of photos I recalled seeing printed in one of the newspapers in the late 80s, though I haven't a clue which newspaper it was featured in (could've been more than one), but it was in one of the main Wigan newspapers at the time like the Reporter or Observer. I remember having a cutting of the photo from the paper, but over the years it's been lost.
