And who is the source of this filthy lie? Why, it is none other than the Trump hating, constantly lying New York Times quoting yet another of its “anonymous sources” that turns out to be - ta da – no less than John Bolton, the man who was given a job in Trump’s cabinet and immediately took over a government building and filled it with his cronies and hangers-on and announced to everyone that he was in power and his recommendation was that the President bomb everyone. Bolton approved of every war we were in, wanted to beef up bombing, believed we should go to war with Russia, China and Iran and never understood that the President listens to all points of view – but acts according to his own lights. So intractable and self-serving was Bolton, President Trump fired him.

In revenge Bolton is now publishing a book full of demonstrable lies. That is what this is all about, selling books and smearing Trump in an election year.

Not only is it a demonstrable lie, not only have White House staffers been quick to deny it, not only have those in the intelligence agency and in a position to know, rejected it, but even a cursory glance reveals it is also completely out of character.

President Trump is a compassionate man who had removed many of our troops from harm’s way, has been an outspoken advocate for diplomacy, not war, and has also done more than any President in history to rescue captured and imprisoned Americans, and exercised laws and procedures to aid and reward our armed services and completely overhauled the way we take care of our wounded and retired veterans. The generals – not so much. Military brass used to direct armament and other contracts to companies of their choice, – huge contracts, billions of unrestricted taxpayer dollars and when they retired, they got a nice office from the companies they had favored at enormous salaries. Trump stopped that. Now all contracts are negotiated by experts The generals resent losing their cushy pensions. They can’t wait to get rid of Trump and back to corruption.

Just heard on the radio news an updated report that Vladimir hired the Taliban to murder American AND British soldiers in Afghanistan, and although both the USA and UK governments knew, neither one lifted a finger to do anything about it. The UK! Who knew? You rascals. No evidence is provided, of course. Only an idiot would believe it. But who needs evidence when you have the word of an anonymous source?

The Taliban apparently were not too anxious for the easy money to kill a hated foe. In all of 2019 only two American soldiers were killed, (yes, I agree, even two is too many) and not by premediated shots.

The UK. Well I never. I wonder who else knew and kept silent? The Faraway Tree, do you think? Lilliput? Llandudno?
