Sacrifices for Love?
I have been hearing on the news about our very own Mark Phillipousis, an Australian Tennis player, who it is said has broken off his engagement to concentrate on his Tennis Career. (That is about the weakest excuse for being dumped I have ever heard).
This leads me to the question - what would you give up for love? Is there anything you wouldn't give up for love?
There have been some wild claims in previous threads on Wiganworld that Wiganners are among the most romantic in the world. I await the replies from all you romantic Wiganners with great anticipation.

i would give up my life, if there was a lack of love.would be a pointless, and empty existence without it.

Love is not only about you though billy and xrh59. It is about the object of your love too. For instance, if the life of your loved one depended on you giving THEM up, and carrying on living, that is a much harder and braver thing to do that toppin yoursel. Mind u I never subscribed to suicides bein cowards cos I think it takes a lota guts to do.

The "PS" to this story is - Mark Phillipousis stuffed his knee in only his 2nd game I think, so how unlucky would u feel, gave up his girlfriend for sport and now has to sit on the sidelines?
Another one who didn't know a good woman when he saw one, she could be by his bedside mopping his fevered brow!!

My wife once said to me "What is this thing called, love?";in later life in answer to the same question I said,"A very dear thing,in fact it has proved to be bloody expensive!!!"
Seriously though,I don't consider I need to make any sacrifices for my love because what I give is purely voluntary and sincere. We have a mutual respect for each other, with loyalty and devotion regardless of the hardships we may have to endure. I feel sure most of us have experienced infatuation but it isn't until you see your wife fighting for her life in the emergency ward that you know what real love is.
On a lighter note my wife said "Will you still love me when I get old?" you all know the answer,"Get 'old and find out"
