I get the reporter around hawkley hall area and to be brutally frank it's a total waste of bloody good trees, it's has thin as a slice boilded ham ,take the car sales out and there is bugger all in so don't panic if you don't ever get one...

Not had Wigan Reporter this year in Pemberton area and I stopped buying the Observer due to the cost.

I suggest you look at Wigan Local Life for your advertising.

The reporter is delivered in Newtown, I very often see them left outside of the house where the delivery boy/girl lives.

Not had the Wigan Reporter in our part of Hindley for years.Leigh Journal is delivered. I'm thinking of putting the blue bin by the front door so the lad can drop the Journal in save me a job.

Not delivered in Tunstall Lane Pemberton area for a while
We had a retired chap delivered it regular; then they asked him to go self employed,so he quit

That's why no one wants to deliver them if they are expected to go self employed.

not had one in winstanley for years, apparently they don't include us because we are 'an affluent area' ! the council know this yet they still publish local announcements which affect our area in the reporter even though they know we don't get it !

If you look on www.abc.org.uk, and then search on Wigan Reporter it will tell you that at the last declared VFD audit in 2013, the distribution was just over 43,000. The last declared ABC audit for the Observer is just over 11,500.

However, the two papers have now pulled out of the ABC's audit process, so your guess is as good as mine what the actual figures now are and why they have pulled out of an accepted industry wide audit process. It wasn't that long ago that the VFD for the Reporter was over 78,000.

Greenfingers - come and have a chat with us at our Orrell office, but before you come, call a couple of advertisers in our Home Services and also our Garden Services and ask them what Local Life does for their businesses - always the best way.
Also - check out the Wigan Council Good Trader's Scheme online.
