It was Elizabeth Wildings when it was in Market St. I bought quite a bit of gear there early 70's, including my first SLR & a johnson Wray 35mm enlarger,I still have in the attic. It changed after they moved into Mesnes St & went corporate.
Online, they're using the name of Buyacamera, based on the Bradley estate in Standish. http://buyacamera.co.uk/

WHEN THEY WERE IN MARKET ST IT WAS A PHOTO STUDIO AS WELL I THINK

Upstairs on Market St, they used to sell 2nd hand goods. I think there was a studio, but where,I don't know. I once saw some old prints with the Elizabeth Wilding signature.
Since they expanded the business, opening up in different areas, I think they dropped the "Elizabeth" from their name, but the foundation was from the original E.W.
these centres are all Wildings other shops:
Bolton
Chorley
Manchester
Macclesfield
Warrington
Wigan
Wilmslow

Truckerdave.
I would have probably looked far better if I had ! The platform shoes I wore then would be sold with a health & safety warning today, and the lapels on my suit would have clothed a small family.
At least nowadays with digital imaging you can airbrush any deformaties, in those days the camera never lied !
Not even the magic of a Elizabeth Wilding photographer could make me look any better !
