Very silly on a Saturday night...

Started by: jathbee (11863)

My daughter and her husband where in Wigan town centre last evening. Was unusual for them to do that but decided they would have a change.
She said that, what she calls the"The pie gardens" Which is the seating area in front of the Pound pie shop in the centre of Wigan, opposite to Weatherspoons, was packed with asylum seekers.
Not really a good idea, in my opinion. Considering they are not the most popular group of people at the moment. Needless to say my daughter and her husband left the town centre.

Liebour isn't bothered about the migrants once they become the local authorities problem. It means they can spend more money on " smashing the gangs "

Perhaps Lisa Nancy should have a drink in The Moon on a Saturday night

No. She's more of an Anvil pub girl, or so I was told.
Only true, blue Wiggin men in there who have worked all there lives. No free ride for them men. [:V]

Apparently, this was the scene on King Street, taken at 9.00pm last Saturday night, go back a few years ago and King Street would have been packed with revellers at that time on a Saturday night.

I would have thought it was obvious.

But if you insist on it being explained to you.
My point is. By the fact that theses asylum seekers are congregating in full view of Saturday night revelers may spark trouble. Is that clear enough.

A lot of the younger generation have turned their backs to drinking and the rest will not pay silly prices that King Street use to charge and now go else where

BB I know Last year I commented on another forum about having to pay to go into a beer festival. For some unknown reason it has reared its ugly head again more than 12 months after the event. The point I was trying to make was that including the entrance fee it worked out for the 1st pint more than £8.. Now I should imagine a couple would not get much change out of a tenner for two drinks in most places on King Street Its cheaper and less hassle to drink at home. Money will only stretch so far

I don't know, Missis. I heard the Anvil pub was one of the best pubs in Wigan to acquire a free rides

It's gonna kick off grand style across the UK....but Queer Stammer and his bum boys can't see it. Joe Public has had enough of being treated and Told what to do like an Eeediot. ..The bent establishments of BBC and the media are not telling you what is happening daily...tune into. GB news if you want an upto date synopsis of this failing government.

That's the news that I watch BB. At least they tell you like it is. No holding back with them. They give Farage air time at least, it's more than the others do.
He's definitely not my favourite politician but at least he's given the chance to say what he intends to do.
Weather he could achieve it or not is a matter of big debate. But I certainly would like to see a glimmer of Starmers answer to this country's huge, out of control illegal immigrant problem.

Well she must have thought they were true blue working men.
One of her first ports of call when she was elected was having a pint in the Anvil. So some one must have pointed her in that direction. I doubt it was her local.

The Cherries, the Cherry Gardens is her local, she resides in the posh part of Town

I don't know where, nor do I care where her local is. She's certainly not got Wigans interests at heart.
She's nothing but a career politician.

If the area around the Cherry Gardens is regarded as the posh part of Wigan, some of those who have bought a property in Standish will not be pleased.

Neither will be Lisa if she has a second home there!
