I am so proud of them, and they can play football a damn site better than the England men's squad, and I wonder if Sarina Wiegman could be considered to swap over and coach the England men's team, and would she be interested in doing so ?

Proud Latics Suporter Please don't post such drivel. You're giving Latics fans a bad name. If the men's game was on a par with the women's game. The town centre shops would be buzzing on a Saturday with women and their husbands shopping. As NO ONE would be watching league football. If people think that women's football is great? Every town in the U.K. has numerous amateur teams playing on a
Saturday and Sunday Much better skills on display and played with more aggression. Why aren't they going to watch them?? Its all about being WOKE Ticking boxes, etc.
I presume you wont be going to watch the Latics this season then? You will be going to watch a woman's match somewhere, seeing you think that's better?

Considering where the parade was to be held plus the two bands advertised I was expecting something more traditional than was. Most of the music both bands played was of an obscure nature, to me at least. I would have thought Wembley stadium would have been more suitable but then there would not have been sufficient proom for the number of fans.
Ah well, must be because I had no interest in the tournament plus my age that I found it disappointing.

It's already been said that the Coach who is Dutch and he Captain should get Damehoods!

In contrast, it took years for Billy Boston to get a Knighthood.

And there are only two players from the 1966 World Cup squad that got knight hoods. After years of playing hundreds of football games against world class opposition week in week out.
In saying that How did David Beckham ever get a knight hood?? YEARS of 'fawning' and 'Kow Towing' to the Queen and then the King. The ACE up his sleeve, was when he started cultivating bees... Crying when he didn't win World's Best Player ... He wasn't even the best player at Man Utd.

Ive read on line ( don't know if its true or not? ) that both teams had 6 lesbians each in their respective teams?

This quote is from the Metro on line newspaper

"And I’m glad I went. When Chloe Kelly’s winning pentaly hit the back of the net, lesbian couples kissed, women embraced, and queer friends jumped up and down. I wasn’t in an LGBTQ+ pub, but there was community everywhere."

I'll hazard a guess that the majority of the crowd today in London were LGBTQ+ activists as opposed to genuine football supporters.

Football (male or female) is pretty boring in my opinion.

I can't see why women who play rugby, football or any other sport for that matter, should be frowned upon for wanting to take part in any sports at a professional level.
They are obviously as dedicated to their chosen sports as the men are.
These women are not comparing themselves to their respective male sportsmen, neither do I hear the male professionals complaining about their female counterparts abilities to play either. The ones who are denigrating their abilities are the male spectators.
There is a simple solution to their complaints. Don't watch them if it offends you that much.
These women are competing on a level playing field, so to speak, as they are competing against other women with the same skills.
Unlike some trans men who were competing against women. And claiming medals they were, morally, not entitled to.

THEY may not be.. However the 'Media' are. Their male counterparts don't complain because they are 'frightened to death' of saying anything against women's football because they know they will be Ostracised for being, anti women, racist,etc.etc. or whatever the Left Wing brigade can come up with.
I wonder what they say to each other when the cameras are turned off. If I had a job paying millions of pound a year, which obliged me to say complimentary views on Woman's Football, I would be their biggest advocates. When I was on the TV or Radio.
Only Joey Barton has had the 'Balls' to say what thousands of ex. pros think, or say behind closed doors.

I don't think it is a case of people being against women playing what has been traditonal men's team games. it is the way that the press go overboard in reporting women's football and do not give the same kind of reporting attention to the women's team games of Cricket , Rugby Union and especially Rugby League!

The women's England Cricket team have recently been playing a test series and have received nothing like the press coverage that the womens international team in football was getting in what was a poor competition compared to the the world cup competitions in other men and womens team sports!

What the ex pros may or may not say behind closed doors is really irrelevant. Times change but some men can't. They still think women should (know their place)
It's amazing to think that when the chips are down, when it really matters, women are praised for what they can really achieve. Women have come a long way since they gained the vote and freed themselves from male domination, when we were treated like chattels.
During two world wars they showed their true mettle, buy stepping up to the mark, when all the men where fighting. (As were some women) They kept the ammunitions industries and farms running amongst many other things. Like looking after the homes and children and in a lot of instances having to cope without a home at all after it had been bombed.
Then when the war was over they expected women to return to the kitchen sink. It was yet another turning point in the history of women's emancipation.
Fact is. Like it or not, women have a place other than in the home. In strength of body, yes we are the weaker of the sexes. But in all else we are equal.

I have to agree though, that this woke businesses has gone way too far. You cannot make the sexes the same, we are completely different . And as they say Vive la difference.

They lost the first match and I did not think they had a hope in hells chance of winning it, and they had to do it the hard way, not an easy ride to the final against some of the poorer playing teams in Europe, but against Italy and Germany for Christ sake, so give them girls the credit which they are due, and OK if you don't like it, you don't like it, it's each to his or her own opinion, and Cheshire Cat "Ive read on line ( don't know if its true or not? ) that both teams had 6 lesbians each in their respective teams?" what has that got to do with it, if they are a bit butch, it will probably help in their football game

Exactly APLS. What on earth does it matter if some, or all of the team were Lesbian. They are still women.
Are there not gay men on football teams and other sports? Not all gay men are iffeminate. And may I add. Not all iffeminate men are gay.
