Jackie Edwards

Just seen that Jackie Edwards, father of Shaun Edwards. has died. I remember him playing for Warrington in one particular game at Wigan. He is the only guy I have seen single-handedly tackle Billy Boston when Billy was in full flight. I have never forgotten that and I can see it all happening now as clear as day. and its over 60 years ago
RIP Jackie.

Sad news for the Edwards famiy. But a great memory for you

I remember seeing Jackie playing rugby as a young teenager for St. Patrick’s youth team. It was usually against Spring View youth team. We girls would go along to support Spring View. Always being careful to stand well back from the touch line.
