Congratulations to United on winning the F.A.Cup.

I was sat talking to a united fan at the services and he agreed that, as they couldn’t match us playing football, they did what they do best, ten men behind the ball, launch a long kick forward and hope that we make a mistake to capitalise on (which we duly obliged). That's not a criticism, just fact. They got their tactics exactly right and we didn’t. We didn’t do what we do best and that is play incisive football, all our passing in front of their packed defence led to nothing.

Our players seemed to be already on the beach, tired and not up for it, theirs did seem up for it from kick off. Pep also played two defenders who weren’t match fit having not played for a while, not the best idea against fast opposing forwards. Why?! Not excuses, simply reasons.

So fair play, they won fair and square.

Nice bloke was the lad in the services, but then again match going utd fans are always more level headed than the T.V. watchers.

Anyway, having renewed my season ticket for (unless I have lost count in my old age) the 35th consecutive season I’m looking forward to see what ups and downs the lads serve up next time around.

Sadly though, in the meantime I will just have to make do with winning the Premier League for four years in a row and Champions League football in Manchester next season.

The best team on the day won, but supporters of United can only hope that that it is the beginning of a new era.

Having said that, supporters like Whups should remember that when they won a lot of trophies, it was at a time when United were the richest club in our game and buying players which other clubs could not afford and atracting all the best young players to their youth set up.

All changed when the other clubs got richer owners than those of United, so the answer is for United to get richer owners than the Glaziers and then they might be top dog again!

That's not football O.C. That's just billionaires showing off and ruining the game.

peter you,ll find out for sure when the premier league rule on citys cheating when they eventually get round to it & if they dont do anything but a slap on the wrist then football in this country is finished & show them up to pander to the richest . ask yourself this , wot would klop have achieved with between £400-500 million coming thru the back door under the guise of "sponsorship money" & being able to afford the best players on the market ? . they shud rule similar to the lance armstrong case & a similar punishment inflicted . why shud city get away with it from 2009 - to present day & everton , notts forest & wigan athletic have to be punished under ffp rules & city get nothing ? .

PeterP

The Foreign Billionaires are ruining the game the right way acccording to the thousands of people paying silly amounts of money for tickets and filling the new and enlarged stadiums as well as travelling all over the country to watch away games in order to watch as Broady put it, to watch the best foreign players and managers from all over the world which would never happened if clubs had remained with only British owners like the Edwards family owned wholesale Butchers company in Manchester!

I'm not having a go G.B, but that is an unnecessary question to ask a loyal match going fan, and is a bit of an insult to all supporters of 2nd division teams.

But to answer.........I will continue to follow my team all over the country (and even Europe, Wrexham! ). Just like I do now, and just like I did when we were in the third division.

I would not desert my team like most on here have done, just because they can't be bothered getting off their backsides.

Finish eighth in the most competitive league in the world is bad is it? Woe is them, they don't know they are born!
