Community’ means it’s “Communal”, possibly “Municipal”.
That means it’s for the use of the community, the public.
The council are the landlords, is this significant?
Have they no sponsor?
I’d say calling the stadium that is the start of the slippery slope.

Being a Charity I doubt if the club is getting any money from the Brick, more a case of helping the charity with publicty, but I agree with what you have said about Whelan.
