Sports Section

Started by: Pyeyta (77)

Well i've been on Wigan World one week now and this Sports section is not for me. I thought it would have been about Wigan R.L. or Latics not Manchester United and eggbeater all the time so I think I'll stick to General and the other sites in future. It's nothing but a slanging match all the time on this site. Very disappointed. Bye.

All i can say to you Peyeta, is to give it another go , for i had similar views as you have had a few years back , but thought hey i'm not going to let someone else stop my bit of pleasure , and you refer to Wigan Warrior's well guess what? my first love was Wigan Rugby my late father introduced it to me back in the early 1950s just after Wigan had signed for me the best winger in the game , one WILLIAM JOHN BOSTON my hero , plus i think what helped me was my cousin's both played for Wigan ,ie Bill Bretherton & Ronnie Mather they would come round to ours with all sorts of tale's and stories so i was bred on Rugby , Then around the Munich Crash again my dad and big brother took me to Old Trafford on a European Wednesday match , from then i was hooked on them ,never froget seeing the like of Dennis Law/ D,VIolett /R.ByrneT.Taylor and obviously you know all the other's , so my tip is give it another try . If you don't been nice to talk . G.B.

Pyeyta

The dominance of the sports section by the same handful of United supporters and the bickering by them, especially Whups with eggbeater is exactly the reason why supporters of the Wigan clubs do not post and discuss matters like they should be doing.

Time that those who run the website did something about it, especially when there are suspicions that one or more are just armchair supporters!

This is aimed at you PYEYTA, i would like to inquire are you interested in GOLF? If so have you been watching the " THE PLAYERS" COMP from Florida , there have been some good golf played and in particular the famous 17th hole it's a real frightner a par 3 over water and the green sit's there like a postage stamp , and since Thursday there have been 11 Aces at or Hole -in-Ones , alas our Rory McILROY had a very bad first round , he shot a 76 which is 4 over Par. at SAWGRASS he is in fact 12 shots of the leader . So if your into golf or not what other sports do you like ??? I have in the past talked a bit about the game that i once loved to play alas due to me health i can't do it now and truly miss playing ,as iv'e said to you before take heart and don't be put off ,take care . G.B.
