Wigan Genealogy

Looking for descendants of Ralph Marsden, b Anderton/Adlington 1814, illegitimate son of John Morris. Ralph, a blacksmith, moved with his wife Mary, nee Hutchinson, from Blackrod to the Poolstock and Pemberton areas (Poolstock Lane and Marsh Street). His children included (dates approximate) James (b Blackrod 1845), Samuel (b 1847), Ralph (b 1851), Betty (b 1854), Elias (b 1857), William (b 1859), John (b 1864 and Walter (b 1867). I've found some of these children in subsequent censuses in the same area, but know nothing of the family beyond 1901 apart from a branch which went to the US.
