The Royal Oak
A dog walks into a pub and says to the landlord Give us an ice cream
Landlord says What flavour do you want, Dog says What have you got, Landlord says I've got Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate Chip, Cookies and Cream, Butter Pecan, Pistachio, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Smoky Bacon.
The dog says, 'Oh, I've changed my mind, give us a pint of Guinness instead.
Our Prince loved Frederick’s Ice Cream….so did I
I've never heard of dog ice cream before, does it sell well Mick. The pub looks nice too. Excellent photo.
It's a good looking building & I decided out of interest to look it up....reviews say its not as good as it used to be in food & staff but I suppose many pubs are finding things hard these day. Still you would think they would try a tad harder to please people.
Can't really comment on the Ice cream for dogs......??
Dog ice cream, well I suppose they have to try something new instead of closing. Where is this pub located.
Does the pub play "Just one cornetto" on the jukebox.
Whatever next Mick.
Dogs only Darts and Dominos hoo hoo
Two dogs walked into a pub and asked for two pints of bitter, which they drank down, then asked the landlord for two more. The landlord refused saying I don't want two drunken dogs in here, but the dogs said We've only had two pints, landlord, ahh, but that's fourteen in dog beers.
Ha ha that's so funny Mick.
You've got a real sense of humour.
Don’t give up your day job Mick.
Lead balloon’s -it’s embarrassing. and the hyena’s false laughter…
The Book Club members of the local U3A hold their monthly meetings at the Royal Oak Mrs C goes there, they have jovial time. other meeting places are Wigan Cricket club and the meeting room at Tescoes in Wigan.
Perhaps Mick and Sue could meet up and go for a dog ice cream. I can just see Sue sitting on his crossbar licking an ice cream apiece. (Perish the thought!!!)
Howard and Marina …!
Arthur asked "Where is this pub located".
It's on Standisgate, Arthur, up towards Mabs Cross, opposite side of road.
I can't believe all these so-called Wiganers who don't know very much about the town they call theirs and think so highly of.
Yes Arthur, right facing ‘ My Dentist’ which is my dentist.
If you don't frequent pubs why would you know where they are?
