Not Wallgate but Wall Space Gate

Not Wallgate but Wall Space Gate
The brick wall is the side of the Tippings Pub, and the new wall
is the retaining wall for the A49 Link Road.

My first reaction was, why the fence and gate. Does it lead anywhere, then I thought it will help keep the homeless people out. Jim, good to see your name again on PAD.

Why leave a gap near the gable end? good photo Jim.

Mick, enlighten me, how in the whole, wide, God created, wonderful world is that gate going to stop anyone trespassing?

I wondered exactly the same D'Tease..it's ridiculous.

Me to DTease, also looking at the pic close up there doesnt seem to be a wiremesh fence between the gate & the wall....perhaps the site is for future plans that are being dreamt up by WMC ...watch this ' space ' folks !

why Mr Platt should homeless people be kept out, you should thank your lucky stars that you aren't homeless by circumstances out of your control, just as they have been, also push bikers riding along that road are trespassers too are they, you know those who don't contribute to the road system, and yet who have had billions spent on them to have their own lanes on the roads, and yet despite making the roads dangerous by making them narrower for the road funding motorists, push bikers never use the lanes and just cause harassment for the said motorists, or by riding on pavements or canal towpaths being aggressive to pedestrians forcing them out of the way, and who by law the push bikers should be giving way to.

The local lads and girls will soon have that for their bonfire collecting.

Would have been like a Laurel & Hardy scene with the contractors, even with the large gap at the side, still opening and shutting the gate for access.

Perhaps they 'ran' out of wood! Somebody got the measurements wrong...
