Lovely picture Mick. Truly "in England's green and pleasant land"

A really good photo - shows the Wigan area at its rural best. First glance, I thought it was mid Norfolk!

I like the simplicity and freshness of the green, and it looks like one of the "Little Folk" , (elf, pixie?), is sitting on a branch on the tree on the extreme right of the pic, looking into the water; can anyone else see him? Sorry if this appears twice.....computer playing silly beggars!

Irene put the bottle down ,forgive me.

Irene its a black plastic bin liner left from when the river was in flood

For a fleeting instant I thought Dordogne!

Enlarged the picture to be fair...
To be sure to be sure
One of the 'little people' head
Bent down in prayer.....!

I knew it was a bag or a shadow, Jim....it just LOOKS like figure. I'm not quite "away with the fairies" yet! xx

Comment by: irene roberts on 26th October 2017 at 15:18

I realised what it was, Jim, ....it just LOOKED like a little man. I'm not QUITE "away with the fairies" yet, but getting there. However, I wish it WAS wine-o-clock time! What a miserable afternoon! xx.

Irene I think he's fishing and wishing, not praying for a 'catch'!

Comment by: Ellen on 26th October 2017 at 17:16

I can also see your "little person", Irene, and nary a drop of the good stuff has passed my lips in a couple of days, not even that "medicinal" dose at bedtime!

Trouble is, Veronica, this daft computer is playing up no end and my comments either appear twice or don't appear at all!

Another 'touch of the Maureen ipad syndrome'!

Veronica, did you see my "double up"yesterday...it's weird isn't it.
Irene,I see him..you know what my motto is,
"If you don't believe in magic ..you won't find it"..we know it isn't a black bag don't we..ha ha.

Comment by: irene roberts on 27th October 2017 at 09:28

Thanks, Maureen! Of course we do! xx.

Comment by: Elizabeth on 27th October 2017 at 17:06

Maureen, what a lovely way of looking at life. I agree with you, if you look for magical things, they'll be there.

Comment by: Veronica on 27th October 2017 at 17:24

Maureen I don't think nothing of it now- i've got used to it! It's not your fault it's the daft iPads! :0))

Comment by: Maureen on 27th October 2017 at 20:29

Thank you Elizabeth..Cliff laughs at some of the things I believe in,but I don't care..that's my philosophy and it hasn't brought me any harm..in fact it enriches it.

Veronica.the double up the other day actually came at a time that was way ahead of itself, if that makes sense.lol

Comment by: Veronica on 27th October 2017 at 22:26

The iPad is probably typing it's own comment by now Maureen -it's magic after all!
