Cracking 'photo. Went to the great Central Park since I was a kid - now in my 60's. Miss the place and oh how the great team has become the laughing sock of Rugby League after last Sat. Certain people (some so called Wiganers have a lot to answer for) plus the Yorkshir puddings!!

Spent hours walking up by the river Douglas.Had relatives who had small allotments there.Great days and great photo. Sad about Wigan Rugby.

Oh! The right side pathway is nothing like it used to be.. Looks like nobody walks that way although the stone wall is still there. I don't recall the trees either hanging over the wall. The path was cobbled and clear, the way we walked to Haigh Hall and the woods. It's awful.
