I supped one or two in there in the 60s, that was when I worked at Mee & Cockers on Leigh road
It's a grand building in a sorry state,Dave.
This pub is supposedly being bulldozed to make way for the "new road" at least that was the plan last year.
Haven't heard much about it lately.
never been in ,how sad.
There's often a light on upstairs when I drive past at night!
Now sadly demolished by the Wigan Vandals!
been past this so many times on bike or car
always thought it was a fantastic place full of character and should have been restored
iwould say owner let this place go down hill scrap cars jcb tractors etc pilled up and parked round the back
sadly its now gone what a waste just wished i would have nipped in looked around before it was flattened i believe it had many original features still in place though no doubt vandals had been through it
dont know if there is any photos of it in its original days
also across the road was the pitt building thats also gone
