I HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE I USED TO VISIT MY AUNT WHO LIVED IN YORK STREET FOR LONG, LONG HOLIDAYS IN THE 40'S 50'S AND 60'S I LOVED LOVED WIGAN BACK THEN AND IT HAS ALL BEEN BROUGHT BACK TO ME
I AM NOW THINKING OF COMING BACK FOR A VISIT TO SEE IF ANY OF THE OLD PLACE I KNEW AND LOVED IS STILL THERE

Very good website... Just moved here from the south. Love this place. Lots of history in this town. There is only this website has so much about Wigan on it. Will contribute some nice photos of Wigan soon.

oh yes i remember court school of dancing very well. i learned to dance there. i went from 1964 - 1967 but i cant remember any of the instructors. I met my husband there and we have been married for forty years. thanks for many happy memories.

I can't see any difference in communicating through the forum or debating via communicate.
If a member can read and write messages in the guestbook, announcing their annoyance at being denied the communicate section, surely they can read and write messages on the forum?
The guestbook is just as the title suggests, it's not a reserve communicate.
Stop being negative and sulky, just get on with it!

I agree with JJ. I think there was an over-reaction. They didn't close Old Trafford because there were a few bad apples. They used to bar them. The Communicate boards are badly missed. I have looked at the Forums since the board was shut and they are a waste of time.
