The Welsh Mountaineer? How very inappropriate.
The name on the headboard of the locomotive "The Welsh Mountaineer "
is the name of the journey that this loco was on that day. The title of the
locomotive is " Scots Guardsman ", one of about 70 of the " Royal Scot " class from the mid 1930s.

You have good eye sight Mr Hanson, I would have thought it was just a great pic of a steam locomotive of bygone days that is so well looked after & preserved by people who give many hours of their time...freely.
