Wellcome back Dennis we've missed you .

It's good to see an old building utilised instead of letting it rot and building a new one. It looks clean and attractive. Good to see you back, Dennis.

Wiganers ( and others) are lucky to have Haigh Hall on their doorstep. It’s got everything you could ask for. Lovely walks, cafe, history and the views over the golf course if I remember are spectacular. Nice to see you back Dennis I hope there’s a collection of new vistas awaiting us from you.

Love it!

Your introduction sounds like its Christmas Dennis. Haigh Hall, Pennington Flash, Ilford Park, Three Sisters Recreation Nature Park, Worthington Flash, Mesnes Park and many more, we are so lucky here in Wigan....and District.

Great photo, but l don’t think a glass tower looks right stuck on the entrance of a stable yard.

Very colourful scene - the building's a nod to the past and present. I like the green glass tower - it brings the colour out in the brickwork. Lovely photo. Thanks.

Yes I'm not keen on the green glass framework. Look out of character.

Is that you in there Mick? I know it’s you Mick ‘cos I recognise yer voice. Come out, come out wherever you are!

Comment by: Slippery Mick on 30th July 2025 at 22:09

Mutlet, I agree with you on that one. I think it's out of character with the surroundings and certainly doesn't fit in with the Haigh Hall image.

Comment by: Veronica on 30th July 2025 at 23:56

Yes it’s out of place the glass contraption and the roof doesn’t fit in either on top. Reminds me of the glass elevator in what was Wilco’s store. It beats me to what purpose it’s for.
They seem to like a lot of glass to work with these trendy designers.

He’s probably hiding in that Glass Menagerie……

The “glass tower” referred on earlier posts is actually a lift well.
