Filming
Photo: David (Panasonic FZ330)
Which one is the can lad? When you look at the credits for any thing there can be one presenter/actor and 30 or more persons involved in making the programme/scene.
It's going to be a children's film , called 'Robin and the Hood ' .
There's mechanical dinosaurs in it , to give you some gist of it .
Not as good as…..
Robin Hood Robin Hood
Riding through the glen,
Robin Hood, Robin Hood.with his band of men…
Loved by the good , feared by the bad..
Robin Hood , Robin Hood…
Is it based on a true story?
Well spotted David, possibly the same crew and actors were also spotted by a local resident when they were filming at Carr Mill last month: https://www.sthelensstar.co.uk/news/23772549.filming-spotted-sky-film-robin-hood-carr-mill-dam/
I know I'm being silly but
'Robbing in the Wood' came into my head !
Actually thats a good photo, the bright red draws your eye into the scene & you think whats going on there ?
Nice one David.
Might lurk around there in the bushes in my green tights, I could get a leading part, or more likely arrested!
Colin - in green tights they are likely to offer you the job of compering University Challenge i.e. "Asking the questions, Bamber Grassgroin!"
An old joke, I know.
If you go around boasting with your “Leading Part”, Colin then you will definitely get arrested.
Who remembers the names of Robin’s gang?
Besides Friar Tuck there was Little John and Alan -a- Dale who used to sing. I have Red Scarlett in the mists of my memory…but that’s it without looking on Google. Cyril will definitely know…;o).
You probably know more names than I do Veronica as I too only remember the two most popular names i.e. Friar Tuck and Little John, the film was on TV too the other week when I was flicking through the channels, I didn't watch it though as I've seen it a few times it was the one with Richard Greene. Was there a Tom and a Will? they come to mind.
Colin, you'll be ignored as it'll be a common occurrence for men to be seen walking around the plantations wearing tights and other items of lingerie, especially up Hall Lane where all sorts of things go on, they even put cameras up along there to try and deter the goings on. There's probably a Friday film night at the central watch station with beer and crisps, and watching the antics going on along King Street and Hall Lane.
I was half watching that film last week Cyril . Still not looked on Google but it was Will Scarlett. Not Red Scarlet. Richard Green had such a distinctive voice. You knew the gang was in safe hands with him.
I think maid Marion was my favourite ha ha I think she was the Sheriff of Nottinghams favourite to but not as much fun as Barbara ………..Veronica clean fun to.
