Spectacular views with a nice pot of tea and biscuits.

Now this I love.
Lovely Summer seen, I don't want to be a spoiler, but we do need some rain.

Looks really nice there Dennis. This is more like it for your brand of photography! I didn’t know there was a water park at Orrell.
( I suppose Very Nice/ but nastyVerucca will no doubt parody my post but never mind there’s summat wrong with them who needs to take on false identities). Have a lovely day taking more snaps of Wigan and surrounding districts.

Very very nice, love it...

Veronica, there’s a bus stop right outside the park. Just catch the St Helens bus that goes via Orrell and Billinge. It’s well worth a visit.

I like what I see.

Comment by: Veronica on 15th June 2023 at 12:03

Very tempting that Dennis - especially if there’s a cafe…..

Comment by: Veronica on 15th June 2023 at 12:27

Just thinking I could get the train from Daisy Hillock to Orrell without changing buses! Good idea Dennis something a bit different and Orrell is quite posh if I remember even posher than Shangri La…. At least I won’t be going under the tunnel that’s supposed to get you to UpHolland then trek 2 miles to get there. !! ;o)).

"Lazin ' on a sunny afternoon..."
A beautiful summer's day - great photo Dennis.

Oh what a lovely scene. I could just do with sitting there quietly in the sunshine after a rather rough few weeks! What a peaceful place it appears to be.

It’s not very far from the Station Veronica.

Comment by: Dennis Seddon on 15th June 2023 at 15:57

Are things getting better Irene?

Comment by: Cyril on 15th June 2023 at 16:11

It is very nice around there throughout the year, hope the couple wasn't having a secret meet up, as it isn't now.

Veronica, turn right when you come out of the station and follow the road around keeping to your right, and carry on along there which is Lodge Road, you can see the stone wall of the lodge with the entrance around a hundred yards or so up on the left.

Glad to see you back Irene, I was thinking you maybe had donned your kilt and gone hunting those wee, low flying haggis on the Western Isles. Though joking apart we are, I'm sure all hoping you are keeping well.

Will do Cyril - it’ll be a change …thank you for the tips.

Thankyou Dennis and Cyril for your kind thoughts. I have been looking at p-a-d and Album but not felt up to commenting recently due to a number of health problems, but I saw that you had been asking where I was and am very touched by that.

Comment by: Garry on 15th June 2023 at 17:52

Yes I was wondering about Irene too. Nice to know your safe and well. Take care Irene x.
