I imagined I could hear birds singing when the photo came up! It reminded me of Spring.

It must be well sheltered in that little dell there’s not a scrap of ice to be seen…a sign of things to come….but a long time to wait.

This photo was taken on the 3rd of Dec this year!
At this time of year the sun is low down in the sky and that makes a difference.

Some folk on here have very good imaginations.

A nice pleasant photo Dennis with contrasting colours of the trees and the ground foliage and a spooky house (Amityville) in the background.

Just been reading the posts over on Communicate and Admin, I assume it to be Ron, has mentioned about "having a frozen pipe with no hot water in the bathroom, but getting hot water in the back kitchen." Also about a cold 'back kitchen.'

I haven't used or heard the term 'back kitchen' for years and yet it was in everyday use at one time, another term I haven't' heard in years is 'nippin't back before we go', or 'just nipping to t'back' this was another everyday term that was then often heard but not now.
