Nice photo of a country track and field with the wood in the back ground. By this time the trees will have shed their leaves .looking at the rotting timbers/wire on the fence would not be safe to put cattle in that field soon break it down

I’m looking forward to some snowy landscapes on PaD. This one today looks like a calm rural Autumn day.

A lovely photo for today's p-a-d. That looks so peaceful .I knew there was a Calico Wood Avenue in Shevington but didn't realise there was actually a Calico Wood.

Irene, it got its name from the rusty colored stream that comes out of the ground at the top end of the wood.
The stream was rusty colored ( but not now) because it comes from some old coal workings.
