Mick, you'd best do some homework owd lad. That's not Top Lock, it's the Cale Lane bridge.

The Canal and River Trust have just been awarded a green flag for this section of weeded up canal

Top Lock is at Withington Lane bridge, and I should know as I live in the canal at Top Lock.

He never gives anyone a Brucie Bonus does he and always has to nitpick about something trivial. He was also telling Frank Orrell to do his homework too the other day about a comment he made on one of his photos, and all the photos and positiveness Frank has very kindly contributed on here and this damp squib has to take a dig, you should rename yourself Bruce the Paper Tiger!

I knew someone years ago who lived on the New Springs side of Withington Lane and they always told folks they lived at Top Lock. I too have always associated Top Lock with being an area around there rather than an actual lock.

Yes , I can verify the fact that Michael lives in the canal as he’s my best friend and also my nearest neighbour ; as I live in that field adjacent to the cut . Violet .

Top Lock will be dry this evening with clear spells overnight, however, a few isolated showers continuing into the early hours of Monday.
Remaining quite blustery but staying mild with a minimum temperature of 9 °C.

Tomorrows pad shows it pouring down in Shevy and it also poured down in Ashton . I cannot see it being dry at the Top Lock has these heavy showers swept across the region.
