Beautiful paintings on the wall - you would want to linger and stare. Plus it looks like an idyllic location.

That's a lovely photo Dennis. I've walked past that building a few times, although many years go now, and I love the protruding window. However, I've only ever seen the paintings on the wall of the building in photographs.

A wonderful serene photo Dennis. The buildings is looking good too now it's finished, along with an excellent way of portraying local history by using an otherwise plain gable end wall as a mural.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could take one of today’s cameras back in time and take photos from that window of the big working barges making their way up the locks. Wouldn’t that be something!

Even with a cloudy sky it fits the scene well.

Yes, thats a good photo, nice rural scene. I remember a pic was taken of the house wall while it was being painted.

The front of the old Commercial pub has now been painted bright blue.
I was up in New Springs yesterday and was shocked at the amount of smelly skip lorries that rattle over that bridge every few minuets

A view from a different angle, and a great result.

Yes Dennis , from a photographers point of view , but when you see the old pictures of the graft they did in the freezing cold , wind and rain , And , even in the sunshine , there was incredible togetherness , but serious serious graft ! In those days they worked the cut , and the sooner they could deliver , the quicker they could earn . I see only graft and people working to earn a crust . A modern camera would indeed improve the detail and show how hard these people worked , and may god bless them all ! They were part of our countries foundation , on which each of us are built . We owe these people , I personally see only their graft and hard work . Each to their view Dennis ..
